God is so awesome!
Matthew 7:24-25 (KJV)
"24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."
Sometime last week my earthly father was talking about how God will give us moments in our life, solid rocks, that we can look back on and know He is REAL. (The first I ever experienced was at a young age when I lost my Beckett; the price guide for collectible sports cards back in the day.) And I couldn't find it anywhere, I was getting so frustrated and finally said a little prayer asking God to show me where it was! Almost instanstly a vision of the top bunk (me and my brother shared a room and had bunk beds) came into my mind. I looked and guess what was sitting on the top bunk bed, you must be a magician but you guessed it, my Beckett!
I decided (even though I know God is real, I wanted a solid rock since my re-dedication to Him.) So I prayed and told Him that I knew he was real, and it was cool if it didn't happen, but a solid rock would be just so awesome right about now. That was on Monday or Tuesday of this week I believe. Sometime that day I heard Casting Crowns and I forget which song, but immediately after the song was over Casting Crowns Facebook Page posted a video on Facebook. So I'm like "God is this the solid rock? Maybe if some more things randomly happen in sequence with Casting Crowns I will believe this was from You." A little while later another one of Casting Crowns songs came on. That was all that had happened, and that was not the solid rock (although it very well might have been God speaking to me!)
Thursday morning I got up and was getting ready for the day and was brushing my teeth and checked Facebook. I have not converted to the timeline (new Facebook feature you see) and I didn't know that if you hit Messages on your left scroll bar when looking at your profile it gave you another option "Other". (Apparently this is where messages from people you aren't friends with as well as messages from pages you have liked go.) I was going through them deleting a bunch of old stuff. The top message was from a women I have never met, had no idea who it was, who lived in California (she has no mutual friends with me).
"Let This Bless All Who View - Gving ALL Glory To God!Here is a direct link to the video: http://youtu.be/rNuWxCe6KFI "
That message was dated February 27th (ONE day exactly after I re-dedicated my life to Christ).
Now I checked my devotional Saturday morning and the prayer in it was this.
"I praise You Lord, for Who You are; the Alpha, Omega, Beginning and the End, Savior and Lord, You're my best friend; Creator of all. Thank You for being my best friend forever. Thank You for being my heavenly Father, always present and always there for me. Thank You for being my sustainer and protector. And thank You for saving me and setting me upon the solid Rock--Jesus. In His name I pray. Amen."
The message in the devotional was titled:
"When God Restores What the Locusts Eat"
God gave me TWO solid rocks to stand upon in less than TWO days. No words can describe how I feel towards Him, He is SO WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE & HE LOVES US SO MUCH even though we are so very much unworthy. THANK YOU JESUS CHRIST MY GRACIOUS SAVOIR!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST! Jill Soto (my sister who God placed in my life) and I got talking and she told me of a great need - "And most recent a man in Accra Ghana has just asked for help to supply his vision of 2012 used Bibles to put in the hands of those who are thirsty..." I know God placed her in my life for a reason and myself in her life for a reason! ANYONE who can help with this need please get a hold of me so we can supply these Bibles for the spiritual hunger over in Ghana! [email protected] Thanks and God Bless!
